Roger Dale “Frog” Ford, Tompkinsville

Roger Dale “Frog” Ford, 70, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, passed away Friday, April 24, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green.

Frog was born in Monroe County on May 28, 1955, a son of the late Clarice (Frazier) and Issac Kimble Ford. He was in law enforcement for forty-eight years, serving as Tompkinsville Chief of Police for ten years and Sheriff of Monroe County for twelve years.

Frog is survived by his wife of twenty-one years Ronda (Farley) Ford, a daughter, Kimberly Dale Arnett, and husband Shannon, two sons, Chris Ford and wife Terri Beth, and Sean Ford, a step daughter, Shelby Burgess, and husband Jesse, and a step son, Alex Bartley, and wife Makensey; all of Tompkinsville; eight grandchildren, Blakely and Austen Arnett, Westin, Luke, and Kenleigh Ford, Hadley Jane and Nolan Burgess and Rory Bartley.

Frog is also survived by two sisters, Alyne Strode of Tompkinsville, Faye Fuqua of Powell, Tennessee, and one brother, William Arnett, of Louisville, Kentucky.

He is preceded in death by brothers, Rudolph, Dennis, Denver, H.C., and Joe Edd Ford, Glen and Jerry Arnett, and Darrell Ford; sisters, Bernice Keller, Margie Geiger, Nina Lois Ford, Lorraine Yegelwel, Barbara Bray, Clorene Ford, and Wilma Dean Arnett.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial to follow in the Mt. Poland Cemetery. Bro. Shannon Arnett will officiate the services.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 11:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning after 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kentucky Sheriff’s Association Boys and Girls Ranch. Those may be made at the Funeral Home.
