Clifton C. “Clif” Sadler, Tompkinsville

Clifton C. “Clif” Sadler, 81, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Saturday, April 18th, at Signature Health Care of Monroe County.

Clif was born in Gallatin, TN, on December 29, 1944, a son of the late Eva Nell (Moore) York and Channie Sadler.

On October 11, 1986, he married Sandra Faye Driver in Lafayette, TN.

After he graduated from High School, he joined the U.S. Navy and served for 4 years. He worked as a truck driver for McLain and then for Roadway Express until his retirement. Clif enjoyed traveling and going to the lake. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, the way he told stories, and aggravating those he loved.

Clif is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Faye Sadler, of Tompkinsville, KY; two daughters, Elizabeth Sadler-Brown, and husband, Dean, of Nancy, KY; Virginia Sadler-Landrum, and husband, Mike, of Celina, TN; a step daughter, Cheri Rich, and companion, Ken Pennington, of Tompkinsville, KY; 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Clif is also survived by a sister, Paulette Sadler Name, of Kokomo, IN, and three brothers, Billy Sadler, of Kokomo, IN; Stan Sadler, of Kokomo, IN; and Greg Sadler, of Lafayette, TN.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, John Wesley Sadler, a sister, Mary Ann (Sadler) Blakely, and a stepson, Kelly Lynn Turner.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22nd, at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Sadler’s Chapel Cemetery with military rites being performed by Glasgow DAV Chapter 20. Bro. Danny Pace will officiate the service.

Visitation is Tuesday, 4-8 p.m., and Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Clif’s memory may be made to Sadler’s Chapel Cemetery.
