Glasgow swept a pair of tennis matches against Barren County on Tuesday. The Scotties beat the Trojans, 4-1, and the Lady Scotties downed the Trojanettes, 4-2.
In No. 1 boys’ singles, Hudson Woodie topped Hayden Coomer, 6-2, 6-3, while Kasan Peters blanked Mavric Payne, 6-0, 6-0. In the No. 3 boys’ singles, Jackson Barrick topped Dalton Hicks, 6-0, 6-2.
In No. 1 boys’ doubles, Barren’s Alex Taylor and Austin Emerson teamed to beat Trace Brooking and Ian Parocai, 6-3, 6-3. In the other doubles match, Glasgow’s Jacob Judd and Aiden Jackson topped Cade Prichard and Kaden Rush, 6-3, 6-2.
Addyson McFall beat Jamesanna Soto 6-7, 6-0, (10-1), in the girls’ No. 1 singles matchup. Glasgow won the other three singles matches. Jadie Stahl beat Bailey Stinnett, 6-0, 6-2, Alaysha Reed downed Reagan Embry, 6-3, 6-2; and Noelle Grieshop topped Claire Woodie, 6-3, 6-1.
In girls’ doubles, Audra Austin and Korah Jones teamed to beat Lauren Neville and Aleigha Nuetzman, 6-1, 6-2; and LaDeja Driver and Zoey Johns outlasted Avery Norris and Brooklyn Wright, 2-6, 6-2, 1-0.
