A Tompkinsville man has been charged with murder in the death of Scotty Eudy, 50, of Cave City.
James Anthony Dicken, 23, was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center on Thursday night. Dicken was indicted for murder by a Monroe County Grand Jury on Jan. 15, according to court records.
Eudy was shot at a home on Sugar Creek Road in Fountain Run on Aug. 18, 2025, according to a previous press release form Kentucky State Police. The state police stated Eudy gained entry to the residence, but did not say if he had a connection with the home.
A person at the house confronted Eudy. After an altercation, the resident of the house allegedly shot Eudy. He was transported to Monroe County hospital, where he later died.
The Glasgow Police Department served the indictment warrant on Dicken at the Barren County jail Thursday night.
Dicken is scheduled to be arraigned Feb. 19 at 9 a.m. His bond was set at $50,000.
