A Glasgow High School student finished in second place in the 2025 congressional app challenge.
Eleventh-grader Danica Stephens finished overall in second place for her app, Care Path, which is “designed to help patients safely transition from the hospital to home and manage the critical recovery period following a procedure or hospital stay,” a press release for Representative’s Brett Guthrie’s office states.
“I am proud to announce the winning submissions for Kentucky’s Second District,” Guthrie said. “Out of the more than 57 submissions, these students’ submissions showcased incredible ingenuity and creativity in the development of their apps. Their utilization of new technologies, such as artificial intelligence, is thoroughly impressive, and I am confident that these young minds have a bright future ahead.”
In 2022, 2023 and 2024 students from Barren County Schools won the challenge.
