The Park City Commission will meet Monday, Jan. 12, at 6 p.m. in the conference room at Park City Hall, with a full agenda that includes multiple board appointments, banking matters and personnel-related discussions.
New business will make up a significant portion of the meeting. Commissioners will consider a series of municipal ordinances related to appointments, including four separate appointments to the city’s Cemetery Board and two appointments to the Board of Adjustments.
The commission is also slated to discuss contract labor, with that item listed under Commissioner Mike Burgess, who resigned from his position on Jan. 9. This item refers to the contract Park City entered into with Burgess last November, where Burgess agreed to assist the city’s auditor on financial matters.
The city is currently waiting on physical copies of Mike and Linda Burgess’ resignation letters before moving forward with making appointments, according to Mayor Donna Scavo. She did note that the commission will most likely hold another special-called meeting to address this, although no date has been given at this time.
Financial matters are also on the agenda, regarding the opening of new checking accounts for the city with Peoples Bank. In addition, commissioners will discuss the removal of Sue Whobrey and Larry Poteet from all city-related accounts.
The agenda also notes an anticipated closed session to discuss surplus property, though no further details are provided.
The meeting will conclude with public comments before adjournment.
