The first meeting of 2026 is likely to be blink-and-you’ll-miss-it as only four items are listed on the Jan. 6 Barren County Fiscal Court agenda.
Aside from the usual approval of the Dec. 16 meeting, there is the payment of claim. A review of the 13-page claims list, which amounts to $64,048.15, does not appear unusual.
The county magistrates are also set to approve hiring an employee for the county road department.
