A Tompkinsville man is lodged in the Barren County Detention Center on human trafficking charges.
Steven Stewart, 46, of Tompkinsville was arrested earlier this week and charged with human trafficking involving a minor and more than 30 counts of possession of material showing a sex performance by a minor. An indictment was issued for Stewart’s arrest on Dec. 22, according to court records.
He is also charged with third-degree sodomy, and third-degree rape.
Stewart remains at the detention center on a $100,000 cash bond, according to the jail website. He is scheduled for a court appearance at 9 a.m. Jan. 15.
