A Glasgow man charged with the murder of a Park City woman has his preliminary hearing scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 15.

Thomas Joseph Orlando, 39, of Glasgow was arrested by Kentucky State Police and charged with murder (domestic violence) and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment — since two juveniles were in the Park City residence when he allegedly fired the handgun that killed Brittney Harper, 35, of Park City.

In an affidavit made by state police officer Jordan Matthews, Orlando called Harper’s mother-in-law and admitted to killing Harper prior to being arrested at the Union No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery where they saw “a firearm located on top of the vehicle [and] apparent blood stains inside.” The cemetery is at a church off Nobob Road in southeastern Barren County.

Orlando is lodge in the Barren County Detention Center on a $1 million cash bond.
