Wingstop has filed a permit with the building inspector’s office to locate in Glasgow.

The company has filed a permit for renovations to 2381 B Happy Valley Road, which is the building by Walmart that contains Yamato Japanese Steakhouse and Azul Tequila, according to Barren County Building Plan Reviewer Thom Kendall.

The 2018 Kentucky Building Code states “any owner…who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, or change the occupancy of a building or structure, or to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system…or to cause any such work to be performed, shall first make application to the building official and obtain the required permit.”

Wingstop has also posted the general manager position for the Glasgow location. That is the only position being advertised at the time of publication.

Wingstop first opened in 1994 and began offering franchising opportunities in 1997. Wingstop has more than 2,000 restaurants open worldwide, according to the company’s website.

Glasgow News 1 has filed an open records request to obtain a copy of the permit and floor plan that were submitted to the building inspector’s office.
