The Glasgow Scotties remained undefeated with a 48-20 win at Hart County on Friday night.
The Scotties did not have the ball for much time in the game, but they didn’t need it. On their first three drives of the game they ran 12 plays and scored three touchdowns.
The Raiders got the opening kick off and scored on a one-yard run. A two-point conversion gave them an 8-0 lead with 5:47 left in the first quarter.
Glasgow answered with a 38-yard touchdown run by Jaylen Bradley a little over a minute later. The Scotties were stopped on a two-point conversion try and trailed, 8-6.
The Scotties added another touchdown with 8:08 to play in the second quarter on an 18-yard run by Bradley. Levi Mann booted the extra point and Glasgow led 13-8.
Hart County responded with a touchdown drive, but Glasgow stuffed the two-point conversion and the Raiders led 14-13.
Glasgow did not trail again in the game.
Landen Holley scored on a seven-yard run before halftime, and Mann’s kick gave the Scotties a 20-14 lead.
Glasgow scored twice in the third quarter. The first touchdown was an eight-yard run by Holley. The second was a 41-yard pass play between Holley and Trevis Collor on fourth-and-1. A two-point conversion was added on that score with a pass from Holley to Kaebran Jones.
The Scotties led 34-14 at that point.
Glasgow added two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter. The first was a 69-yard pass play between Holley to Keyshawn Austin. The second was a 66-yard pass play between Holley and Bradley. Mann added a pair of extra points.
Hart County scored once more in the game to set the final score.
Holley completed 10 of 12 passes for 307 yards and three touchdowns.
Austin caught four passes for 140 yards, while Bradley caught four passes for 108 yards, and Collor had the 41-yard touchdown reception.
Kyle Sledge led the Scotties on the ground with 65 yards, while Holley rushed for 53 yards and Bradley finished with 26 yards rushing.
Glasgow improved to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in district action. They Scotties host Butler County on Friday at 7 p.m. in another district showdown.
