A Barren County child sexual abuse case has been forwarded to a grand jury, which will decide whether to indict the man involved and thus elevate it to a circuit court case.
Kyle Ankney, 32, was arrested by Barren County sheriff’s deputies on July 9 at the Barren County Courthouse on charges of first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy and incest of a minor under 12-years-old after a female juvenile was interviewed by the Barren River Area Child Advocacy Center in June.
He is still lodged in the Barren County Detention Center and has a $500,000 cash bond, according to the jail website.
