Barren County residents with a chronic lung disease will now have a support group at T.J. Regional Health.
The hospital announced the launch of its Better Breather Club, which is “designed to help individuals with chronic lung diseases such as COPD, asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, and lung cancer live healthier, fuller lives,” a T.J. Regional Health press release stated. The club is part of a national network of patient-centered programs supported by the American Lung Association.
The club will offer education, resources and support “in a friendly and supportive environment.” Meetings will be at 1 p.m. on the second Monday of the month T.J. Health Pavilion Community Center, which is off N. L. Rogers Wells Boulevard in Glasgow.
