A man was injured in a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle Friday afternoon near the intersection of Gorby Road and U.S. 31-E Scottsville Road.
The Barren County Sheriff’s Office, Haywood Fire Department and Barren-Metcalfe Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene around 3 p.m. on Friday, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.
A motorcycle driven by Jason Elmore was traveling north on 31-E when it struck a van driven by Carolyn Hall of Glasgow, the press release states. Hall was stopped in traffic when Elmore was unable to stop his motorcycle and “struck the mini van in the rear end of the vehicle.”
Elmore was transported to University of Louisville medical center “for injuries he received in the accident,” and Hall was not transported for medical treatment, according to the press release.
The sheriff’s office is still investigating this collision.
