While serving a Barren County and Hart County bench warrant, Glasgow police arrested 20-year-old Abram Clover on drug charges.
The arrest occurred at his Bowen Avenue residence on Aug. 2. During the arrest, officers “located methamphetamine inside of his pants pocket and a syringe in his back pocket,” a Glasgow Police Department press release stated. He was charged with first-degree possession of drug paraphernalia and first-degree possession of methamphetamine (second offense).
In this case, Clover has a $3,500 cash bond and a court date scheduled for Aug. 7 at 12:30 p.m.
The Barren County bench warrant was issued by circuit court judge John Alexander because Clover violated the terms and conditions of his probation “based on a report from drug court on July 16,” according to his court documents. In a 2024 circuit court case, Clover entered into a guilty plea on charges of third-degree assault on a probation officer, tampering with physical evidence, resisting arrest and first-degree possession of methamphetamine (first offense).
His five year and $1,000 fine sentence was probated for five year or upon completion of drug court.
