Nathan Woodcock of Glasgow will remain in the custody of U.S. Marshals until further notice.
The 27-year-old was initially arrested in Glasgow on April 23 on multiple child pornography charges. On the next day, Woodcock asked that his case be forwarded to a Barren County grand jury. In the meantime, he was federally indicted by a grand jury in the Western District of Kentucky on child pornography charges.
At his July 7 court appearance Woodcock’s attorney, Dennis Hardin, entered a not-guilty plea and Chief Judge Greg Stivers scheduled further proceedings for July 29 at 2:05 p.m.
A detention hearing in his case was also set for July 10 before Magistrate Judge H. Brent Brennestuhl and, according to a detention hearing court document, it was determined that “there are no conditions or combination of conditions that can that can be placed upon the defendant to assure the safety of the community.”
“It is ordered [that Woodcock] is remanded to the custody of the United States Marshals Service pending the trial of this action,” the court document stated.
