The National Weather Service in Louisville has placed Barren County in a tornado watch until Feb. 16 at 1 a.m.
A tornado watch means a tornado, or tornadoes, are possible “in and close to” the area. A watch is less severe than a warning.
This is in addition to the multiple other watches and warnings currently affecting Barren County. The county is still in a flash flood warning until Feb. 16 at 2:30 a.m. — a flood warning is in effect for Barren County during the same timeframe — and a flood watch until noon on Fec. 16.
