Community Action of Southern Kentucky celebrated the organization’s 60th anniversary on Feb. 13 at the location on Shamrock Drive.
Executive Director Carla Brown said the organization can help people from the time they’re born until they’re elderly with the plethora of programs the nonprofit offers, which includes head start and child education programs, a variety of community services, senior companion, retired senior and Foster Grandparent services.
Brown added that the greatest joy for her is being able to give hope to another person or family.
The organization’s Head Start program will celebrate its 60th anniversary next year.
