People have the opportunity to have their Christmas tree dipped in a flame-retardant mixture of Borax and Boric Acid free of charge at the Glasgow Fire Department Station 2.
The station is located at 130 Cross Street and the service will be available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Christmas Eve.
They also reminded people that electronic decorations, candles and lights can pose a fire risk as well and to check decorations for damage before putting them out.
