James Macey “Bowie” Flippin

James Macey “Bowie” Flippin, 56, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, passed away on

May 3, 2021, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on February, 15,1965 the

son of the late Joe Eagle and Loretta Ann (Rhoton) Flippin*. *Macey played

football for the Tompkinsville Bears and was a 1983 graduate of

Tompkinsville High School. Macey was an OTR Truckdriver.

 

He is survived by one daughter, Rickie Lozier of Tompkinsville; two sons,

Dustin Flippin of Tompkinsville and Kyle Macey Flippin of Bowling Green;

two brothers, Todd Flippin and Eugenia of Tompkinsville and Stacey Flippin

of Gamaliel; two nieces, Amber and Alicia Flippin; one grandson, Westin

Andrew Connor Short of Tompkinsville also survives.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Tyler

Flippin; maternal grandparents, Bethel and Ruby Rhoton; paternal

grandparents; Radford and Ada Flippin.

 

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm Thursday, May 13, 2021, at

Harlan Crossroads. Fontice Pipkin will officiate the graveside service.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated by the family

for funeral expenses, and these may be made at the funeral home or mailed

to Bartley & Sons Funeral Home 204 Columbia Avenue, Tompkinsville, Kentucky

42167.
