Clarence “Tank” Gearlds, 84, passed away July 16, 2021 at Monroe County Medical Center.
He was born on March 13, 1937, a son of the late Claudie Jesse and Lydia Jessie (Owens) Gearlds.
On May 17, 1980, he married Nellie Young, in Clay County, TN.
He was a retired farmer. He attended Flippin Church of Christ.
Clarence is survived by a nephew, Richard Hammer, and wife JB, of Tompkinsville, KY; and a sister, Bronda Anderson of Marrowbone; and several other nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Gearlds; parents, Claudie Jesse and Lydia Jessie Gearlds; brothers, Carl, Charlie and Cleatus Gearlds; and two sisters, Brenda Sue Hammer and Barbara Lee Muse.
Funeral services will be held at Yokley Trible Funeral Home on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 1:00 PM. Burial is in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday morning after 9:00 AM at Yokley Trible Funeral Home
