Elbert Lee Meredith, 84 of Cub Run passed away Saturday, Oct. 12th at his home. He was the son of the late Fid Felix Meredith & Flossie Avery Meredith.
Elbert was a tobacco farmer, he retired from pipeline construction as a foreman, he then worked at Wal-Mart for seven years and until two years ago he worked for Roundstone Seed. He loved to coon hunt and work outdoors.
Elbert was a member of Knoxes Creek Baptist Church and he attended Concord Baptist Church & Stoney Point Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Rosetta Rosser Meredith, a son Trevor Meredith, two daughters Pamela Burns and Linda Cook, son-in-law Danny Matthews, daughter-in-law Jamie Meredith, a brother Tex Meredith(Marilyn),
a sister Gladys Avery(the late Laymon), seven grandchildren Courtney, Caitlin, Collin, Meredythe, Misty, Jenna & Madison, 9 great-grandchildren Kayleigh, Kamden, Karson, Addilynn, Rain, Hope, Arwen, Eliza & Stephan.
The funeral for Elbert Meredith will be 1pm Tuesday, Oct. 15th in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Sturgeon officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cub Run. Visitation will be from 4-8pm Monday and after 8am Tuesday at the Sego Funeral Home.
