Lillian Maevon Sego Fay, 87, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024. Born on June 8, 1937, to the late Clarence Sego and Lena Craddock Sego.
Maevon lived a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories. She was a member of the Freedom Missionary Baptist Church.
Maevon leaves behind her children, Steven Fay (Brenda) and Marsha Lowery (Billy), who will continue to carry on her love and legacy. She was blessed with three wonderful grandchildren—Emily Free, Abigail Boehman, and Chase Lowery—and two great-grandchildren, Greyson and Noah Boehman, who brought joy to her later years. Maevon is also survived by her two sisters, Doris Thompson and Carolyn Dennison.
Maevon is now reunited in heaven with her husband of 36 years, Edward Fay; her beloved friend, Frank Ohlmann; and her siblings, Russell Sego, Louise Childress, Juanita Gonterman, Kenneth Sego, and James Sego. She is also at peace alongside her cherished fur friend, Mimi, with whom she shared a special bond.
Maevon was known for her warm heart and creativity. She enjoyed spending her free time knitting and crocheting, crafting beautiful pieces that her family will treasure forever. She took great pride in keeping her home spotless and was a huge animal lover, always sharing her kindness with her pets.
Visitation for Maevon will take place at Louisville Memorial Gardens West & Funeral Home on Monday, October 7, 2024, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm. Burial will be at the Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Maevon’s gentle spirit, love for her family, and dedication to her home and pets will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
