Mark Anthony Slayton, 64, Glasgow, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024 at the T J Samson Community Hospital. A native of Barren County, he was the son of the late William Hershel “Rooster” Slayton and Melba Jean Carter Slayton. He was a machinist who loved fishing and re-building automobile motors.
Survivors include a daughter Ashley Slayton; one brother, Gilbert Slayton (Ann); three sisters: Willa Vincent (Gary), Bonnie Kerney (Gary), and Fleisa Lutterman; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Bobby Joe Slayton and William Slayton, Jr.; and by one sister, Mattie Anderson.
The family honored Mark’s wishes to be cremated. No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
