Carole Ann Butler, of Bonnieville, departed her life on Monday, April 27th, at the age of 74. Born on July 10, 1951, in Glasgow, Kentucky, Carole touched the lives of many throughout her remarkable journey.
As a registered nurse and nursing educator, Carole dedicated her life to caring for others, first at T.J. Samson Hospital and later inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals through her teaching. She embodied compassion, commitment, and an unwavering spirit, qualities that endeared her to both her colleagues and patients alike. Her legacy is one of love, care, and the profound impact she made in the medical field.
Carole was preceded by her parents, Edsel & Lora Anetta Hatfield, and her husbands Jimmie Lee Butler and Daniel Burden.
Carole cherished her family and is survived by her loving daughter, Lee Ann Barnett(Tommy), her devoted son, Jr. Carter, her siblings, James Taylor, Daniel Taylor, and Brenda Taylor. She took great pride in her grandchildren: Spencer Horton, Aaron Burgin, Jace Yonker, Jolee Yonker, Weston Barnett, and great-grandchild Memphis Horton, each of whom brought immense joy to her life.
The funeral service will be conducted on April 30, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 29th, from 3 pm-7 pm, and Thursday after 8 am at the Sego Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Cub Run Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
