Scott Houston Oldham, age 62, of Rockfield passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 in his home. He was born on December 27, 1961 in Madisonville, Kentucky to James and the late Patricia Oldham. Scott was a graduate of Madisonville North Hopkins High School and went on to graduate from Western Kentucky University. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a Rural Carrier; and loved his friends at his part time job at Foreman Watson Land Title.
Scott was better known as Dad, Poopsie, or Pop Pops and was guaranteed to always be at anything to support his peeps. Scott loved hard and genuinely never met someone he couldn’t make laugh. He was an avid Hilltoppers Fan who loved music of all genres and was known to always be the first one on the dance floor. He was the king of trivia, he always knew the most useless information and was guaranteed to know every statistic of any sporting event.
Scott was originally a member of Franklin First United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir, married his wife, raised and baptized his children. Scott is now a member of St. James United Methodist Church where he gladly attended with his family.
Scott is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Lettie P. Oldham; his daughter, Madeline Oneale Johnson (Jordan); twin sons, Houston Howard Oldham (Abby) and Alex Owen Oldham (Meghan); a sister, Sally Smith (Tommy); seven grandchildren, Aspen and River Johnson, John Carrick, Walker and Owen Oldham, Orrin Oldham and Opal Oldham who is on the way; Nieces and Nephews, Casey Smith (Allyson) and their children: Ford and Palmer; Rachel Proctor (Kenzie) and daughter Vera; Rachel Jarvis (Nick) and children: Carrick and Josiah; Noah, Silas, and Nathaniel Roof; and Autumn Duncan (Justin) and their children: Carter and Cooper; and his very best friend, his dog, Roadie.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 3:00pm at the J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Chapel on Broadway. Visitation will begin on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 4:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Friday from 10:00am until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like for donations to be made to the St. James United Methodist Church.
