Wilbert Farrell Turner

Wilbert Farrell Turner was born on April 20, 1939 (85) to the late Velmer and Emma Turner in Tompkinsville, KY. He passed away on September 4, 2024, at his home in Mooresville, IN.

Other than his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brother Eagle Loyd Turner, Sister Helen Whited, Sister Carolyn Sue Turner and Sister Evelyn Turner.

He graduated from Tompkinsville High School while serving in the United States Navy aboard the USS Dominant. He worked for Allison Gas Turbine in Indianapolis for 30 years where he retired in 1991. After retirement, he started Green Meadows Boer Goat Farm along with his loving wife Lynne Turner that survives him. He was an avid collector of blacksmithing tools and enjoyed educating others in their use. He enjoyed going to auctions, he would never miss a good sale.

Wilbert enjoyed his time with family, friends and an amazing neighborhood community that gave support and love up until his final days. He was a favorite uncle and loved his time spent with family and sharing his stories about the good ole days.

Other than his wife, Lynee Turner, he is survived by sons Anthony Turner (Michelle), of Monrovia, IN and Kevin Turner, of Camby, IN, Daughter Samantha Bernabeo (Dave), of Oceanside, CA andand Son Jeff Sims (Barbara), of Medina, OH.

Grandchildren Nicholas Turner, Tyler Taylor, Makayla Reeves & Kaylynn Reeves, Vincent Bernabeo,

Joel Bernabeo, Savanna Bernabeo, Sierra Bernabeo, Harry Sims

Funeral services will be held at Yokley Trible Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 10 at 1:00 p.m., with burial to follow at the Mudlick Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by Glasgow DAV Chapter 20.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 9, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, September 10, from 8:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral  Home.
