Lawrence Ellis Bartley, age 83, of Glasgow, passed away, Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. He was born in Glasgow, on January 17, 1941, to the late Ralph Russell Bartley and the late Clemma Katherine (Baldock) Bartley. Lawrence was a self-employed carpenter and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his daughter, Sonja Woodcock (Jason); sons, Jeff Bartley (Vickie) and Kelvin Bartley (Robin); grandchildren, Chelsey Dickson, Dewayne Shelton, Autumn Chambers, Trevor Bartley, Elli Bell, Rachel Foster, and Branson Bartley; great grandchildren, Emmory Shelton, Stella Jean Shelton, Ora Rose Shelton, Meadow Dickson, Melrose Dickson, Everly Dickson, Maple Dickson, Rory Jean Chambers, Floyd Chambers, Tilly Chambers, Paxton Foster, and Rosie Foster; brothers, Larry Bartley, Gary Bartley, Edwin “Leroy” Bartley;
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Edna Ruth Botts; brothers, Wayne Bartley, Earl Bartley, Lance Bartley, Richard Bartley, and Arnold Bartley.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 25th, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Union #2 Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time for the service at the funeral home.
