Wanda Joyce McCloud, 87, of Bowling Green, KY passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024 at her residence. She was a native of Bowling Green, KY and was born May 13, 1937. She was preceded in death by her parents James Arthur Owens and June (Marcum) Owens, her son Mac McCloud, three brothers Lamar Owens, Terry Owens and James Carroll Owens. Two sisters Norma Morabito and Jean Marie Richmond.
Wanda was secretary for Mr. Harold Huffman, first executive director for the Bowling Green-Warren Co. Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Baptist Faith. She loved cooking, sewing and spending time with her family. Wanda was one of the first active members of the BGWC Humane Society.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years Fred McCloud, four children Dan McCloud (Lew Anne), Mike McCloud, Russell McCloud and Susan McCloud (Craig Noltkamper). One brother Marc Owens and seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm at J. C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel. Visitation will be held 11:00 am until time of services at the funeral home. The family chose cremation.
In honor of her love for animals, Wanda has requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the BGWC Humane Society.
