LOUISVILLE – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of ramp closures on I-264 East in Jefferson County.
The I-65 South to I-264 East ramp and Preston Highway to I-264 East ramp will be closed from 8 p.m., Friday, June 16 to 1 p.m., Sunday, June 18. Crews will perform concrete slab replacements and subgrade repairs. This closure will allow for newly placed concrete to have ample time to cure.
During the closure, there will be no entry to I-264 East from Preston Highway or from I-65 South, however, motorists will be able to access I-264 East from I-65 North and should expect a traffic shift onto the ramp shoulder. Motorists should obey restrictions and drive cautiously through the work zone. Increased travel times are possible and drivers should seek alternate routes, if possible – using the Waze app is helpful in seeking alternate routes.
