LOUISVILLE – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of two upcoming closures of the U.S. 31E/Bardstown Road southbound ramp to I-265 East. The first closure will begin tomorrow, Thursday, June 15, at 9 p.m. to Friday, June 16 at 5 a.m.
The second closure of the ramp will begin Friday, June 16, at 9 p.m. and remain closed through the weekend until Monday, June 19 at 5 a.m. The weekend lane closure is necessary to allow ample time for the concrete used in the repairs to cure. Crews will complete subgrade repair and slab replacement in advance of an upcoming pavement rehabilitation project for I-265.
Motorists should plan ahead and adjust for increased travel times through the detour route. Motorists should travel northbound on U.S. 31E/Bardstown Road to access the I-265 East ramp for the detour.
