LOUISVILLE – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of the nightly closures of a section of KY 12 (Bagdad Road) beginning tomorrow, June 13, in Shelby County. KY43/Cropper Road (mile point 0.0) to KY 395/Waddy Road (mile point 4.9) will be closed from 6 p.m. to midnight through Thursday, June 15.
Crews will replace cross drains in advance of an upcoming roadway resurfacing project, expected to be completed in the summer of 2023. Motorists should use caution when crossing the newly replaced cross drains. Crews will place a layer of dense-grade rock on the drains until asphalt can be poured. Signs in the area will notify drivers of the work and motorists are encouraged to seek an alternate route if traveling during closure times.
The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
