GLASGOW — A joint training session is scheduled for later this week regarding tax increment financing districts.
The Glasgow Council, Barren Fiscal Court and members of the Barren County Economic Authority’s board of directors are scheduled to take part in the training on Friday, Feb. 24. The training will take place at 11:30 a.m. inside the BCEA offices at 126 E. Public Square.
“Training will be provided by Mr. James E Parsons, Senior Consultant with KMK Consulting Company, LLC,” according to a news release from the BCEA sent to the news media Monday. “James practices in the areas of public law, public finance, and tax incentives for business development, including tax increment financing for development projects.”
The session will be the first time the three entities have joined in the new year for a meeting.
