GLASGOW, Ky. — Glasgow police arrested Leathan Geralds on Oct. 6 after responding to a report of a possible overdose in the 700 block of East Main Street, according to a press release from the Glasgow Police Department. Geralds faces charges involving public intoxication, synthetic drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Officers said Geralds appeared confused and lethargic when they made contact with him. He also had difficulty maintaining his balance or answering questions, according to police.
Police reported seeing Geralds holding a lighter and a pipe containing suspected burnt synthetic cannabinoids. During the subsequent investigation, officers said they found additional suspected synthetic cannabinoids in his possession.
Geralds was charged with public intoxication involving a controlled substance, excluding alcohol; possession of synthetic drugs, second or subsequent offense; and buying or possessing drug paraphernalia.
Officer J. Alley made the arrest, according to police. Geralds was taken to the Barren County Jail without further incident, the department said.
