Cindy Loraine Hood, 67, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away on Monday, July 6th, 2026. She was born on October 5th, 1958 in Barren County to Joyce Evelyn Hood (Rouse) and the late Dascal Lee Hood.
Cindy was raised in Warren County and graduated from Warren East High School in 1976. She attended Western Kentucky University before becoming a bank teller at The Cumberland Bank in Bowling Green. Shortly after, she moved to Nashville, TN and lived in the mid-Tennessee area for several years working as a Loan Processor for Ford Motor Credit. Cindy relocated to Bowling Green at the end of 2025.
Cindy attended Faith Missionary Baptist Church with her family. Cindy was very active in the church. She played the piano at church, was a member of a gospel group, and also performed in the Red Stocking Review. Cindy loved singing, music, Sci-Fi, cooking, cracking a joke, and spending time with family. She was known to always have a dog in her care.
She is survived by her mother Joyce Evelyn Hood, brothers Michael Lee Hood (Beverly) and Kelly Scott Hood (Tish), nephews Daniel Hood and Alex Powell (Zach), and uncle Gary Allen Hood (Lynne) and many cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father Dascal Lee Hood and a niece Sarah Hood.
Services will be announced at a later date.
Services have been entrusted into J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
