Runell (Finley) Crawford, Tompkinsville

Runell (Finley) Crawford, 76, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Thursday, June 18th, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. Runell was born in Tompkinsville, KY on March 4, 1950, a daughter of the late Doll Estelle (Shaw) and Oak Finley.

She was married to Tony Crawford for 56 years, they were married on January 2, 1970 in Lafayette, TN. Runell retired from the Monroe County School District and taught many years at Tompkinsville Elementary School and later went to the Migrant department before her retirement. She attended Mt. Poland Missionary Baptist Church.

Runell is survived by her husband, Tony Crawford; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tonya and Eric Schwenn, of Davenport, IA; Tracy and Cary Cornwell, of Tompkinsville, KY; three grandchildren, Ciara Myatt (Dillon), Logan Schwenn (Payton), and A.J. Cornwell; great grandchildren, Corbin and Clay Myatt and Saylor Schwenn and was expecting two more. Runell is also survived by three sisters, Brenda Finley, of Deltona, FL; Linda White, of Tompkinsville, KY; Nanette Finley, of DeBary, FL; three brothers, Jim Finley, of Tompkinsville, KY; Jerry Finley, of Indianapolis, IN; Charlie Finley, of Seymour, IN.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Strode and Sarah Simmons; and two brothers, J.E. Finley and Roy Finley. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23rd at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Mt. Poland Cemetery.

Visitation is Monday, June 22, from 4-8 p.m., and Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
