Wanda Faye Stewart, age 62, of Brownsville, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2026 at Tri-Star Greenview Hospital surrounded by family.
Wanda was born on February 8, 1964 in Bowling Green to the late Raleigh and Gracie Mae Goodall Johnson. She was known for her strong Christian faith and was a member of Beaver Dam Chapel, her devotion to her family; spending time caring for her kids and grandkids, and being a kind hearted person who never met a stranger. Along with her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Ballard; and a brother, Michael “Wavy” Johnson. Wanda is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Alan Stewart; her son, Josh (Katie) Stewart and her daughter Erica (James) Wolfe; her grandchildren: Adam Stewart, Abram Wolfe, Kelsey Stewart, and Hudson Wolfe; her siblings: Steve Johnson, Joe (Francis) Johnson, Judy Russell, Pam (Kevin) Steele, Sharon Johnson, Darrell (Darla) Johnson, Gracie “Murl” Cherry, Vickie (Tony) Brindley, Diane (Ricky) Dickens, and Donna Johnson; and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Everyone is welcome to join us for a Graveside Service to honor Wanda’s life on Friday, June 19, 2026 at 2:00pm at the Archie-Newman-Wilson Cemetery at 8347 Richardsville Road, Bowling Green, KY 42101.
