Jerry R. Kerr, 78, of the Center Point community in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, June 7, at Monroe County Medical Center.
Jerry was born in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, on December 9, 1947, the son of the late Hazel Runell Collins Kerr and Welby Earl Kerr. He was a retired employee of Anderson Forest Products, a Army Veteran, and was also a lifelong farmer. Jerry married Joyce Humes in Celina, Tennessee, in August of 1986.
In addition to his wife, Joyce Kerr, he is survived by his special family, Matthew White and wife Julie, and their son, Jake Earl White; two brothers, Tony Kerr and wife Relda of Jamestown, Kentucky, and Marrs Kerr and wife Modell of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, June 10, at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Skaggs Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Skaggs Creek Cemetery.
