Mr. Paul Kirk Eakle, age 56, of Gamaliel, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Monroe County Medical Center, surrounded by family. Kirk was born in Tompkinsville, on September 3, 1969, a son of the late Paul Lewis and Sharon Yvonne (Emberton) Eakle. Kirk was a 1987 Graduate of Monroe County High School and attended Tennessee Technical College after his stent in the United States Army. Kirk worked as the General Manager for Mere Bulles, before returning home to obtain his certification license to become an Electrician where he worked alongside his father until his passing. He was a member of the Rockbridge Baptist Church. Kirk enjoyed sports, the Dallas Cowboys, University of Tennessee, and University of Louisville, were among his favorites. More than anything, Kirk enjoyed cooking and entertaining his friends and family at the lake and Christmases at the Cabin.
Kirk is survived by his sister, Dr. Kimberly Eakle Hume, and her husband Perry, of Gamaliel, his life partner, Rita Crabtree, and his beloved dog, Hatch. One Uncle, Gary Emberton and wife Connie of Tompkinsville, along with a host of cousins, and friends also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, James Randy Gerald, a special uncle, Mike “Coach E.” Emberton, along with several aunts and uncles.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Bartley & Sons Gamaliel Chapel, with burial to follow in the Clementsville Cemetery. Bro. Gary Emberton will officiate the service, and Military Honors will be provided by DAV Chapter 20.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Gamaliel Chapel, and again on Thursday morning after 7:00 a.m. until the service time at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rockbridge Baptist Church, Clementsville Cemetery, or the Gamaliel Volunteer Fire Department in memory of Kirk.
