Mary Ann Nichols, age 82, of Merry Oaks, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at her home. She was born in Glasgow and worked as a cashier at Walmart for several years. Mary Ann enjoyed sewing, quilting, mowing grass, and playing rook. She was a member of the Dover Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Nichols; her parents, Gilbert Smith and Ada Bridges; eight siblings, Herbert Smith, Joe Smith, James Smith, Mary Taylor, Jean Carbo, Mildred Hamilton, Joyce Childress, and Pauline McCelland.
She is survived by two sons, Danny Smith (Brenda) and Charles Allen Keith; one daughter, Theresa Burris (the late Todd); several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; special pet companions, Rowdy and Blacky; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 02, 2026, at Winn Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at the Merry Oaks Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 02, 2026, at Winn Funeral Home, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM.
