Prior to hitting the road to Florida, the Scotties hosted Cumberland County and whipped the Panthers, 12-1.
Glasgow rode the hot arm of Carter Hodges to the 11-run win. He struck out 14 batters in six innings, walked one and allowed only four hits.
Keaton Haynes had a perfect day at the plate. He was 3-for-3 with a home run, a triple and a double, and drew a walk. Hodges posted two hits, including a home run. Also, Hudson Gumm nailed a triple and Steven Garrett had a pair of hits.
The Panthers took the early lead with a solo home run in the top of the first inning. The Scotties took the lead for good in the bottom of the second when Keaton Haynes led off with a single, and scored on the two-run homer by Hodges.
Glasgow added three runs in the bottom of the third. Gumm hit a two-out triple, then Keaton Haynes drew a walk. Hodges drove them both in with a triple. Cooper Hatton, running for Hodges, scored on a single by Glass.
The Scotties posted three runs in the bottom of the fourth. They ended the game in the bottom of the sixth when Keaton Haynes hit a grand slam that scored himself, Peyton Lemily, Rashad Etheridge and Huston Haynes.
The grand slam was the second one Keaton Haynes had hit on the week. He also hit one against Greenwood on Monday, March 30.
