Jo Manco Wilson, age 87, passed peacefully on Monday, June 10 in Bowling Green Ky. She is survived by her daughters, Windy Cline, Kim Hamilton (David), Debbie Embry (Blane) of Bowling Green, and Cindy Matlock (Ed) of Hendersonville, Tn, and sisters Joyce Parsley, Judy Church, Evelyn Miller, Carol Bryant, and Cathey Witty (Tony), grandchildren Heath Matlock (Jana), Seth Matlock (Lindsey), Matt Hamilton, Bret Embry (Katie), Sarah Hamilton, Lane Embry (Payton) and Alex Cline, and 17 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Jo is preceded in death by the love her life, Wildon, her parents Richard and Jewell Manco, her sister Kaye Anderson, and her son-in-law Grant Cline. Jo married Wildon Wilson on October 27, 1956 at Penns Chapel Church of Christ. After graduation from Richardsville High School she worked at Holley until after her children were born. She taught them to be Christian women, wives, mothers, and grandmothers by her example of a gentle, quiet spirit, sacrificial love, and servant heart. Jo was a faithful member of Greenwood Park Church of Christ, where she loved to work in the preschool. Her greatest joy in life was her family and her greatest blessing was being surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of Christian Health Care, who treated her with love and respect, as well as Hospice of Southern Ky for their support.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made at Foundation Christian Academy to the Grant Cline Family Scholarship, 2480 Three Springs RD Bowling Green, KY 42104.
Visitation will be Thursday June 13, 4-8 pm and Friday June 14, 9-11 am, with her celebration of life beginning at 11:00 am at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel, followed by burial in Bowling Green Gardens.
