Mr. Roger Dale Strong, age 76, of Ebenezer, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at The Medical Center of Bowling Green. Roger was born in Monroe County on March 31, 1948, the son of the late Elmer Ray and Nova Marie (Russell) Strong. Roger enjoyed wheeling, dealing, and working on lawnmowers and various parts, trading beagle hounds, calling into the local “Trader” on 99.1, and spending time with his sons and grandchildren. Roger was a faithful member of Poplar Log Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Tony Strong of Tompkinsville, and Josh Strong; wife Ashlee of Gum Tree; and three grandchildren, Cassie, Abram, and Titus Strong. One brother, Robert Strong and Crissy of Gamaliel; one sister, Barbara Ferguson and husband Bobby of Tompkinsville; three sisters-in-law, Sue Strong, Trula Strong, and Candy Strong, his beloved dog Jack, along with several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Rondell, Richard, and Roy Strong, and one niece, Candida Ferguson.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial to follow in The Old Soldiers Cemetery. Brothers Jeremy Yokley and Eddie Wilson will conduct the services.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024, from 1:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning after 7:00 until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.

In Lieu of Flowers, donations are suggested to Old Soldiers Cemetery in memory of Roger.
