Jeffrey Gene “Jeff” Denhard, 59, of Tompkinsville, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 7 at Monroe County Medical Center.
Jeff was born on April 10, 1965, in Monroe County, KY, son of the late Mable Wood Denhard.
Jeff was a 1983 graduate of Gamaliel High School. He was baptized at Corinth Church of Christ.
Jeff was a loving father and dependable friend. He was a police officer for the City of Tompkinsville and loved serving the people of Monroe County. He will be remembered for his involvement and dedication to Shop With A Cop, as well as the kindness that he showed each person that he encountered.
Jeff is survived by his daughter, Chelsea Denhard, of Bowling Green, KY; sister, Mary “Cricket” Sullivan, of Tompkinsville, KY; loved companion, Kristen Whitlow, of Tompkinsville, KY; niece, Sera Shayne, and great niece, Winter Morgan; the mother of his daughter, Michelle Conner; his work family; and countless friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Beautiful Home Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday, 8:00 a.m until service time at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to Shop With A Cop to continue Jeff’s passion for helping the children of Monroe County experience the joy of the holidays.
