Mrs. Ruby Kathleen (Murray) Capps, age 76, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Ruby was born on November 27, 1947, in Monroe County to the late John Floyd Murray and Mary Alice Milam. She worked in several sewing factories throughout her life, and was a member of Tompkinsville First Baptist Church. Ruby loved working puzzle books, going shopping, and enjoyed eating out.
She is survived by a daughter, Teresa Muse, and one brother, Charles Murray and wife Debbie of Gamaliel. Three grandchildren; Ashley Haithcox and husband Eric, Crystal Muse, and Gabriel Muse. One nephew; Chris Murray and three nieces; Mary Susan “Susie” Bray, Melicia Philbrick, and Sandra Binkley also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Terry Capps, and one sister, Ruth Curtis.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Bro. Gary Emberton will officiate the service. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until time for service at 2:00 p.m.
