Charley “Chuck” Harris

Charley “Chuck” Harris went to be with his Lord and savior on May 28th, 2024.

Chuck was born on January 5th 1934 to Skelt and Charity (Messer) Harris in Harlan, KY.

He was the proud father of five children. He is preceded in death by his parents and his son Charles Randall Harris, and his siblings; Harvey, Ollie, Mary, Margaret, Jackie, and Gladys.

Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Sylvia Marie Harris and four daughters; Shari (Cam) Scott of Bowling Green, Becky (Wayne) Taylor of Bowling Green, Kathy (Mack) McClusky of Scottsville, and Kim (Johnny) Embry of Morgantown and several nieces, nephews, Grandchildren, Great- grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.

He retired from Fisher Body of Chicago, IL. Chuck had a great talent for music and spent many years playing in his band “Changing Sounds”. He loved to spend time outdoors hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, but most of all reading his bible and worshiping the Lord. He was a member of Woodburn Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2024 and from 9 until 11 a.m. Saturday at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
