9-5-2013 – Sitel, a call center in Glasgow, announces a major commitment to the Boys and Girls Club – bringing the total for the club’s fund raising campaign to $2.9 million.

Glasgow Fire Department responded September 5th to a fire at Alcon/3A Composites. No injuries but foam core, plastic pallets and old machinery were destroyed.

9-19-2013 – A group of 39 immigrants gathered inside Mammoth Cave for a naturalization ceremony last Friday. The 39 immigrants represented 22 countries.

Harvest of History brings the past to life – Steven Landrum, George J. Ellis, Sr., Rev. James Chenault, Terry Loving Hatchett, Dora Barlow Young, Nettie Bayless Courts Depp and Molly Carmon.

Slick Rock School graduates held a reunion Saturday at Eastern Elementary School. Lucille Williams Johnson was the oldest student present. She graduated in 1938.

Aubrey Tedder, BCHS Senior was crowned 2013 Homecoming Queen.

Banned Books Week of September 22 celebrated the Freedom to read.

Walk In the Park this Saturday at Mammoth Cave National Park. The hike will be along the Mammoth Cave Railroad Hike and Bike Trail for a total of 4 miles.
