OWINGSVILLE, Ky. (April 23, 2023) – An Owingsville man is dead, the result of automobile accident on Wednesday. On April 19, 2023, at approximately 7:30pm, Bath County Dispatch made a call to Kentucky State Police in Morehead requesting assistance with a single vehicle fatal collision. The collision occurred on Oakley Pebble Road in Bath County.
The investigation determined that Steve Clarke, 57, from Owingsville was traveling west on Oakley Pebble Road in a 2006 Honda Odyssey. Mr. Clarke left the right side of the roadway, striking an earth embankment before coming to rest on its side. Bath County Coroner Andrew Owens pronounced Mr. Clarke deceased at the scene. The passenger in the vehicle, Patsy Clarke from Owingsville, was
airlifted to the University of Kentucky Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
KSP received assistance from the Bath County Sheriff’s Department, Bath County EMS, and Bath County Fire and Rescue. This collision remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police in Morehead.
