GLASGOW — Authorities responded to a residence along Oak Hill Church Road earlier this week and found drugs and money.
The Barren River Drug Task Force responded to the residence along with the Barren County Sheriff’s Office and social services. A drug complaint was received at some point, according to a news release.
Police located James E. Scott, 44, and a female subject at the residence. Both gave consent for police to search them, the news release said.
A large bag of suspected crystal methamphetamine was in Scott’s pocket. A smaller bag of meth and drug paraphernalia were located near an area where he was sitting. Scott said all the items were his.
Authorities confiscated 53 grams of crystal methamphetamine, $436 worth of cash, scales, meth pipes and baggies. Scott was arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine (first offense) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged at the Barren County Detention Center.
