Norma Ann Parnell

Norma Ann Parnell, 88 of Edmonton passed away Thursday, January 5, 2022 surrounded by
her loving family at Barren County Health Care in Glasgow.    She was born,  February 21, 1934
in Edmonton to the late Rollin and Ruby Fields Harper.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by sister Priscilla Harper and a brother Rollin Harper, Jr.
Norma was a member of the Edmonton United Methodist Church.

She along with her husband
owned and operated Parnell’s Trading Center in the Gascon Community for many years.
Norma  loved her community and the people therein.  She was a very active person, she loved
square dancing and dealing in antiques, especially depression glassware.  Norma enjoyed deer
hunting and always made time to go fishing with Willard.

Norma is survived by her husband of 72 years, Willard Parnell whom she adored.  Three
children;  Lanny and wife Carolyn Parnell of Edmonton,  Steve and wife Cathy of Highlands,
North Carolina and Cindy and husband Sam Reeves of Lexington.   Her grandchildren; Tiffany
(David) Matthews, Samuel (Rachel Knauff) Reeves, James David (Brittany) Parnell and TaiAnn
(Ben) Webster.   Great grandchildren; Ryder Knauff, Samuel Reeves, IV, Emma Rice, Benson
Webster, Steph Knauff Reeves, Savannah Webster, Kennon Matthews, Landree Matthews and
Harper Parnell.   Two sisters; Joyce Ford of Chicago and Cary (KK) Dabney of Louisville.

Funeral services for Mrs. Parnell will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday at Butler Funeral Home in
Edmonton with burial in the Edmonton Cemetery.    Visitation will be Monday, January 9th from
4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and after 9:00 AM Tuesday until service time.    In lieu of flowers, the
family request that donations be made to;  Alzheimer’s Association, Shriners Hospital or
Edmonton United Methodist Church.
